If you could make someone's life
better in just one
day...would you?
Last
night 2,010 people in Central Oregon were
homeless. 769 of them were
children.

How Does Project Homeless Connect Work?
On
October 13,
2007,
Central
Oregon Partnership and a tri-county coalition of public and private
advocates will use the
Project
Homeless Connect model to provide on-site
humanitarian services important to the well-being of the
chronically poor or homeless families and individuals
throughout Deschutes
,
Jefferson
and
Crook
Counties.
Spearheaded by the Homeless Leadership Council and sponsored by
Central Oregon Partnership, Project Homeless Connect is an
ambitious step toward a ten year plan to end homelessness in
Central Oregon.
Here in Central
Oregon individuals, businesses, church groups and social service
agencies will reach out to people living in the open, in vehicles,
on the streets, in cheap motels, couch hopping, doubled up with
other families, and those who are turned away from shelters because
of overcrowding. These community members in need will receive
advocacy and referral assistance on the day of the event for
continued help after October 13 has come and
gone.

puts on their
